Understand yourself more deeply. Relate more freely.
Individual Development through the CAToM Framework
Understanding other people begins with understanding your own mind.
CAToM offers individual development based on the CAToM Framework, combining mentalization-informed guidance with evidence-based psychological practice. Together we explore the thoughts, beliefs, emotions, intentions, assumptions, and expectations that shape how you experience yourself, other people, and the situations you encounter.
Rather than focusing only on changing behavior, we work to understand the mental states from which behavior emerges. People often seek support when they experience:
-
recurring misunderstandings in relationships
-
emotional reactions they struggle to explain
-
difficulty understanding themselves or others
-
repeating patterns that seem impossible to change
-
uncertainty about important personal decisions
-
feeling stuck without understanding why
Through the CAToM Framework you will learn to:
-
recognise the mental states underlying your own behavior
-
understand how your interpretations influence your emotions and actions
-
explore the perspectives and intentions of others with greater accuracy
-
identify moments when mentalization breaks down
-
make sense of difficult interactions without relying on assumptions
-
approach yourself and others with greater understanding and curiosity
The aim is not simply to change how you behave, but to deepen your understanding of the minds behind behavior—your own and those of others.
Personal Training Impact
Social Agency and Agentic Power
You will have an enhanced sense of self in social situations and the ability to act from your own values and emotions, rather than reacting to others — so you can make choices that reflect who you really are. You will have a stronger ability to stay focused and motivated to achieve your personal goals. This inner alignment fuels clarity, motivation and resilience in pursuing your personal goals.
Psychological Safety
You will feel free to ask questions, seek feedback and admit mistakes. Having enhanced awareness of your thoughts and emotions, you will relate with less fear of judgment — and more trust in yourself and others. You can take emotional or social risks—such as setting boundaries, trying new things, or sharing dreams and fears.
Effective Intentional Communication
You will be able to speak more honestly and thoughtfully — even in difficult situations. You will have the confidence to express your needs and values while taking others’ perspectives into account, leading to less conflict, clearer boundaries and deeper mutual understanding.
Social Embeddedness
You will have an enhanced ability to feel more connected and grounded in your relationships. You will understand how your emotions and behaviors affect — and are affected by — the people around you, helping you build deeper, more supportive connections. You will understand — through social cues and embedded experiences — who aligns with your goals, values, or status and who may not.
