Develop the ability to analyze verbal behavior to understand personality, motives, integrity, and hidden truths. In this course you will explore the following five topics: 1. Detecting mental states such as emotions, desires, beliefs and levels of knowledge in verbal communication 2. Integrating mental state information to infer attitudes, motivations and intentions 3. Interpreting personality traits from verbal behavior 4. Assessing trustworthiness, integrity and competence in others 5.
